What is your theological background?
For 19 years I attended and grew up in a United Methodist Church. After I accepted Jesus into my life at the age of 19 years old after I graduated high school I began attending a Baptist church.
I enrolled in Houston Baptist University in Houston, TX. After my freshman year I transferred to Samford University in Birmingham, AL to be closer to home. I graduated with a BA degree in religion and a minor in speech.
I then attended Southern Baptist Theological in Louisville, KY for 1 year and transferred to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX from which I received an MDiv degree.
The churches I have pastored have been Baptist, but I have also attended and been active in non-denominational, Pentecostal and Charismatic churches. I refer to myself as a "Bapticostal".
How long have you been performing weddings?
Since I was licensed to preach in 1976. I have conducted or participated in numerous weddings since that time.
What do you like BEST about weddings?
I love seeing the joy on the bride's and groom's faces as they look into each other's eyes as they repeat their vows and then get their first kiss as a married couple. I also enjoy talking with them about the significance of some of the traditions in the wedding ceremony.
